These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Still Life Pets website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Still Life Pets provides AI-assisted digital pet portrait generation for cats and dogs. The Service is operated at stilllifepets.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the email address and payment method you use.

3. The Service (v1)

  • Upload one photo of a cat or dog (no account required to preview).
  • Choose up to four styles from our catalog of eight, then receive free watermarked previews for your selected styles.
  • Purchase a one-time digital unlock for USD $14.99, which delivers two (2) HD digital downloads per selected style (eight (8) when you select four styles), subject to successful payment and generation.
  • No subscription, credit packs, or per-image checkout in v1.
  • No printed/shipped products in v1. Files are digital only.
  • Human portraits and animals other than cats/dogs are not supported in v1.

We may change features, styles, pricing, or availability. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page.

4. Your content and license

You retain ownership of photos you upload. You grant Still Life Pets a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transform, and store your uploads and generated outputs as needed to operate the Service (including previews, HD files, abuse prevention, and support).

You represent that:

  • you own the photo or have permission to use it;
  • the photo does not depict illegal content, and you will not upload others’ private images without rights;
  • you will not attempt to generate portraits of celebrities, public figures, or minors in a misleading or exploitative way.

Generated images are provided for personal use unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. You may not resell our Service as a white-label API or systematically scrape outputs.

5. AI-generated nature & no guarantees of likeness

Outputs are produced by automated systems and may vary. We do not guarantee that every result will perfectly match breed, markings, or identity. Watermarked previews are shown before purchase so you can decide whether to pay.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. Prices are shown in USD unless stated otherwise. By paying, you authorize PayPal to charge your payment method for the stated amount. Taxes may apply where required.

7. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In summary: you preview before you pay; refunds within 7 days only for failed HD delivery or unrecognizable pet results after one free regenerate; change of mind after download is not refundable.

8. Acceptable use

Your use must also comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits NSFW/sexual content, human/deepfake generation, and related abuse.

You may not: reverse engineer the Service; overload or abuse generation; bypass paywalls or watermarks; use the Service for unlawful content; or infringe others’ IP or privacy rights.

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, fraud, chargebacks, or Terms violations.

8A. NSFW and AI restrictions

Without limiting the Acceptable Use Policy, you may not use the Service to create, request, or distribute:

  • Sexually explicit, pornographic, nude, fetish, or other NSFW content involving animals or humans
  • Human portraits, faces, body likenesses, face-swap, or deepfakes
  • Celebrity / public-figure impersonation, or any content that exploits or depicts minors
  • Open-ended “uncensored” or unrestricted generation outside our fixed style catalog

We may refuse generation, suspend access, and deny refunds where permitted when these rules are violated.

9. Intellectual property

Still Life Pets branding, site design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Fixed style templates and system prompts are our IP. Your uploaded photo remains yours as stated above.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI OUTPUTS MAY CONTAIN ARTIFACTS OR ERRORS.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STILL LIFE PETS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Still Life Pets from claims arising out of your uploads, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise. Courts in Delaware shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to such mandatory protections.
